| AOK Family Lifeline: Mirror When people get hurt, they learn to hate. When people hurt others, they become hated and are racked with guilt. But knowing that pain allows people to be kind. Pain allows people to grow. And how you grow up is up to you. A black female child with dark brown eyes and medium-short hair, falling down to her neck, hurries home to beat the coming rain. The girl makes it to the gate of her front yard as the sky starts to sprinkle down a little water. Finally making it to the front door, the girl reaches for the knob just to find that the house has lock her out. The clouds blot out the sun completely to hail down more and heavier droplets of water. Barely trying to shield herself, the girl sits down on the patio with her knees up and her head down. The girl is soaked within seconds, with no end to the rain in sight. With her eyes closed and the rain so loud, Kristina is surprised when she finds out why she could still hear the rain, but not feel it anymore. A seven-year old Alex Shirley, holds her umbrella up to protect the two from the water. Lil. Alex: I live next door and saw you through the window. You can’t get inside? Lil. Girl: No, my parents aren’t h…I know you. You’re the new kid in my class. Lil. Alex: Uh-huh. You helped me out earlier. Would you like to come over to my place till your parents get home? My momma is making carrot-cake. Lil. Girl: Yes, please. I forgot your name. Lil. Alex: Alex Shirley. And you are (reaching out a hand to help her friend up)… Lil. Girl: I’m… Alex: Kristina. Just another friend I lost. No, the only friend I ever had. Joey: Looks like Kenneth is still in your head. Alex: JOEY(surprised to see him flying close by). What are you doing? Joey: Bringing…(fighting to stay focused) bringing you..ba.. Alex: JOEY!!! Alex steers her flying broom downward as Joey passes out and starts to plummet down to the ground. Opening: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqOJRC0sWCk Kenneth walks through the streets of the shopping district. Though the area is filed with people, Kenneth comes alone to reminisce about what just went down. Remembering how Alex blasted Raven with the red lighting, and banishing Alex from the team. Kenneth had threatened to use the mindtaker to take away the memories of her mother being slain. Joey: I’m fine(being supported by Hannah), go help Kenneth and Raven. Hannah Leaves Joey up against a wall of the Twilight building before heading over to Kenneth and Raven. Almost reaching the two friends, Hannah turns back around to see Alex flying away on an enchanted broom. Torn between the decision to check on Kenneth and Raven or go after Alex, Hannah puts her faith in her invisible friend. Who can no longer be seen in the area. With Kenneth on his knees to hold the unconscious Raven in his arms, Hannah extends a hand to help the two up.
Hannah: Come on Kenneth, lets get her home. With his head bowed down, it takes a few seconds before he reacts. Without accepting the helping hand, Kenneth rises and walks forward.
Hannah: Is she alright? Kinda prefering to be the one pursuing after Alex, Hannah quickly remembers that Joey is taking care of it and stays with the other two. Not feeling a welcoming feeling from Kenneth's vibe, Hannah decides to just follow a few feet behind instead of walking side by side the two. A minute passes with Kenneth in silence till Raven starts to stir. Kenneth: Relax(low whispering tone) we’ll be home in two more minutes. Hannah: *But we’ve only made it out of the Twilight building’s parking lot.* Hey, I’m here if you need help carrying her. Kenneth: … Feeling like a useless third wheel, Hannah wishes she had Joey's ability. To just turn invisible and walk away unnoticed, sounds like the best ability in the world at the moment. Glad that the three could finally stop walking in awkward silence, Hannah sees Kenneth’s body starting to vanish. Now realizing that the three minutes of silence where used for summoning energy to teleport, Hannah looks at herself for signs of the same results. With Kenneth and Raven completely gone now, Hannah waits a few more seconds to see if anything happens. Thinking she must be doing it wrong, Hannah stands where Kenneth and Raven where to soak in the teleporting energy. She even closes her eyes and counts to ten to make it more enchanting. But her relief quickly turns to shame and loneliness, now that Hannah sees that she is the only one left in the area. Not used to the feeling, Hannah becomes confused as to why she feels something running down her cheeks. Hannah: Oh(touching and feeling moisture on her face)! But i..t isn’t rain..i(finding it harder to speak)... Realizing that her strength has started to leave, Hannah tries to relax and softly drop to her hands and knees. Starting to glow, Hannah falls forward. Just as she hits the ground, Hannah’s body explodes into a flock of birds. She takes to the skies, unsure of where she should go now. Not sure if she should return. Angry Customer: You’re trying to rip me off. I know this doesn’t cost that much. Cashier: I’m sorry…ms. Manager: No need to be sorry. I’ve seen you in here before young lady. Now buy something or leave. Angry Customer: ...I’m still looking around(lowering her tone a bit). The commotion peaks his interest, as Kenneth walks into the jewelry store to see if he can find something nice for Raven. Raven: WHERE IS HANNAH? Kenneth: I don’t know, she was right behind me. Are you sure you’re ok? Is their anything I can get you? Raven: Stop treating me like I’m in the hospital (gets out of bed and paces back and forward). Kenneth: You should really lie back… Raven: So you scared Alex off, Joey disappeared as usual, and Hannah was…right behind you? Kenneth: YES (gets slapped upside the back of his head, but the afro softens the blow). Raven: YOU TELEPORTED US HERE. How could Hannah be right be hind you? IDIOT!!! Kenneth: That doesn’t matter. She probably headed home or something. Raven: You’re unbelievable. Look, I’m not bleeding or anything, so let’s go. Kenneth: Go where? Raven: Find Alex. Kenneth: SHE SHOT YOU. Raven: ACCIDENTLY. Kenneth: …look this whole “saving the world and everyone we run into” is going to get us both killed. Raven: What’s your plan? Stay safe and live forever? What’s with you? You’ve never feared for your safety before. Kenneth: It’s not “my” safety that I’m worried about. Raven: …You know, I would think that to be nice, if I thought you cared the same way for the others. Kenneth: I barely know them (raises his right hand). Raven: KEN(yawns)…neth! Stepping forward with his mind taking hand rising up, Kenneth uses his other hand to focus some telekinesis into catching his fainting friend. Raven: Are you (sounding sleepier)… Kenneth: Relax Raven, the facts are these. The mind taker is a close range technique that weakens the target’s will to fight, puts them to sleep, and allows the user to erase select memories from the victim. Kenneth usually uses it at a hundred-percent to erase his enemy’s memories of wanting to pursue Kenneth and company. Kenneth must place his hand over the victim’s head(during a sneak attack, or at the end of a fight) to do this. At fifty-percent the attack is weaker but can be used at a mid/slightly long rang. Without full power, Kenneth can’t take away any memories, but he can induce the feeling of exhaustion into his victims. He has done this once in an attempt to slow down James Brown, once again on the Niki Agho clones, and once more now on his already exhausted friend. Kenneth: Don’t worry. You just need a little more rest. You’ll only be out for a few minutes. Raven: Don’t do this(being telekinetically tucked into bed). Ple(falls asleep)… Kenneth walks into the closet, a sweet spot already filled with teleporting energy, and heads to a little shopping district. Kenneth tries to clear his head, walking in with a crowd of people that don’t even notice his existence. Kenneth is in the perfect place to be alone. Cashier: No, Ms. Please don’t… Angry Customer: I’M TAKING WHAT’S MINE. Manager: SOMEONE STOP HER. As usual, Kenneth doesn’t want to get involved with something that doesn’t concern him, but doesn’t have a choice in the matter this time. Unluckily being right in front of the exit, Kenneth knows that stepping aside to let the thief pass will make him look like an accomplice. Kenneth: *Ironic coming from a guy who robs banks.* Hold it right their, mamm(spreading his arms to each side). Lacy: Move (still running towards Kenneth), or Lacy Dugas is going to make you move. And though too far to make contact, Lacy(the angry customer) throws a slap at Kenneth. Mimicking the motion, a shadowy arm stretches from Lacy’s shoulder and towards Kenneth. The end of it opens like a giant black hand preparing to swat Kenneth like a fly. Because of the whole ordeal of a thief trying to escape, the black-hand reminds Kenneth of the black hole that teleported him and Raven when they where trying to escape the Bandai Bank. And just like that, the two mutants disappear from the store. A second later, the two strangers are relocated to the home of the deceased mutant that Kenneth was reminded of. Lacy: What happened? What happened? WHAT HAPPENED??? Kenneth: Hey, calm down. I must’ve taken us to the warehouse. Lacy: You took me to some old abandoned building so you could have your way with me(takes off over shirt to reveal a white tee-shirt). Kenneth: What? NO, YOU GOT IT ALL WRONG. Lacy: STOP LYING(starting to undue her blue jeans, revealing red gym-shorts under them). Kenneth: Look, this is all just an accident. Lacy: Oh, I totally understand. The sun is almost down and you just decide to take me to some abandoned building(gets jeans off and starts to fold both pieces of clothing). And I guess you’re just thinking about “accidentally” slipping some peanut butter into some jelly, right. Kenneth: WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN? Lacy: I don’t know, I heard it on some television program(tossing her clothes to the side). Kenneth: WHY ARE YOU UNDRESSING? Lacy: Thought you’d enjoy the show, Mr. Pedophile (balding her fists at her side). This is for you(flexing her little muscles as she raises her arms slightly forward).
The shadowy substance that had attacked earlier, has now covered everything but it’s master’s head. It solidifies into what can easily be mistaken as a floor-length, spaghetti strapped, dress. Lacy: Now hold still(straitens her hands and stretches them forward). On the ground, two long shadow strips stretch towards Kenneth. Kenneth jumps and prepares to float, but the shadows grab and bring him back down. Lacy retracts her arms to herself and throws them back forward, once more. Throwing them forward, she grabs nothing. But mimicking her, two new shadows stretch over her shoulders and grab Ke nneth’s shoulders. Lacy: Now you can’t user your powers to escape. A third pair of shadow hands lift high over lacy, prepared to attack Kenneth. Mimicking Lacy’s movements, the clasped together shadow fists strike but miss their target. Kenneth continues to telekinetically throw random objects at lacy, causing her to loose concentration on the grip of her shadow bind. Kenneth: I can do more than just disappear(getting loose and running away). Lacy: You’re not leaving till you pay for trying to kidnap me. Kenneth: I wasn’t… Kenneth stopped and turned back to vainly tell Lacy it was all a mistake, but gets knocked through a door by two seperate shadow fists. Kenneth is thrown into a huge room lined with shelves of plastic toys and stuffed animals. Kenneth gets up and tries to hide, taking a vantage point where he can see how Lacy’s powers work. Watching the shadow hands hovering over Lacy’s shoulders, Kenneth conducts his experiment. Spontaneously throwing random toys at Lacy, Kenneth watches the shadow hands following their master’s pattern of attack. If Lacy strikes, the shadows strike. If Lacy grabs, the shadows do the same. Kenneth: *Wouldn’t have to be doing this if she just lis…*(starts thinking about Alex for some reason). *No, just focus on what is going on now* Why did you rob that place(yelling out, while still hiding). Lacy: I just took back what was mine. Almost a year ago, my grandmother was the victim of an armed robbery. They took her family heirloom, a necklace(the shadow arms place it around her neck) that was given to her by my great grandmother. I was their when the robbery happened, but my powers weren’t(looks in Kenneth’s direction). Kenneth: How(ducks back behind the counter) did it end up in a jewelry store if it was stolen? Lacy: I asked the manager where the necklace came from. He said the owner of the place found it in a select location, I’m guessing a pun shop, and decided to put it in the care of one of his lower establishments. Kenneth: *Stupid, stupid. She was just trying to get back what was taken from her. I knew I should’ve just stayed out of it. If I try to softly communicate with her telepathically, then maybe…
As a shadow looms over him, Kenneth peacefully raises his arms in surrender. To his surprise, Kenneth turns around to see a stuffed bear standing strait up on the counter. As the bear attacks, Kenneth's instincts quickly call upon a small telekinetic blast. Unfortunately, the bear comes back just as quickly as it was thrown. The bear leaps at Kenneth again, Kenneth telekinetically holds it in place, forces it high against a wall, and holds it there with three psychically guided pencils. Kenneth: Didn’t think I’d need to use those. Before looking for Lacy, Kenneth notices the thin thread of shadow that leaves the bear(making the bear lifeless) and zips back over to its master. Lacy: Lets see you stop them all(sends out a bunch of shadow threads). SHADOW PUPPETS!!! On the shelves behind and towards each side of Lacy, toys stand in wait for their master’s command. Kenneth: You’re not even giving me a chance to ex… Lacy: Shut him up. Cotton-stuffed and hard plastic toys alike, leap off the shelves towards their target. Raising his hands in the air and slamming them downward, Kenneth focuses his telekinetic energy into making the toys hit the ground hard. The plastic ones break instantly, but the stuffed ones bounce back on their feet. Raising the stuffed survivors in the air, Kenneth Psychically uses his pencils to pierce and shred through the softer toys. Kenneth: Now listen, please. Lacy: Those were just a distraction(shadow threads returning). I’ve been charging them to be bigger and sneaking them in close enough too… Kenneth notices the three giant shadow hands to his left, right, and strait above. With just a gap between them, Lacy prepares to clasp her hands together. Kenneth: You’re not letting me explain that this is a(raises his hands to force back the shadows). The shadow hands quickly make their way through Kenneth’s telekinetic force. What frustrates Kenneth more than not being able to explain the mistake, is realizing how much his situation is becoming quite identical to what he did to Alex. Kenneth: *Well I cant apologize to anyone if I’m dead. And how convenient of me to come up with a technique for this particular situation, and wait till now to finally use it* FIREFLY!!! Kenneth crosses and braces his arms against his chest, getting rid of the telekinetic force being used to keep the shadow hands away. The shadows advance but are stopped an inch away from their target’s body. All three shadow hands are forced back a foot away. The persistent shadow hands continuously gain an inch forward just to get pushed an inch back, as though grabbing hold of some pulsating sphere. Kenneth: (*You may think that I started this.. Lacy: What the(loosing her focus)… Kenneth: …but I am gonna finish it*) With little time to spare, due to the blood dripping from his nose, Kenneth charges forward. With Lacy’s concentration waning, the shadows are knocked off but persistently try to grab back on. As Kenneth gets closer the the host, the shadows strike closer to the core of the fading shield. Close enough, Kenneth dives forward and tackles Lacy to the ground. With Lacy unconscious, the shadow hands and dress revert back into their host’s body. Kenneth: I'M SORRY. D@#$ it! Kenneth uses telekinesis to carry Lacy’s clothes, while he himself, carries the body over to a couch. Kenneth: Hmph! You’re the second. I fought and won against another mutant, sometime ago, but I didn’t erase his mind like I usually do. Hopefully neither of you will come back to bite me in the a@#. Kenneth lays his jacket over lacy, like a blanket, before opening the exit door to the cold night air. Stepping through his teleporting sweet spot, Kenneth disappears from the warehouse and back into Raven’s closet. Kenneth opens the closet doors to a room filled with surprised comrades. Alex, looking more ashamed and frightful, steps forward and prepares to apologize. Alex: Ke(not expecting Kenneth to drop to his knees)… Kenneth: I’m sorry, Alex. I should’ve known, it was just a mistake. Lets all meet up tomorrow. I’m a little tired(heads back for the closet). Raven: Where’s your jacket? Kenneth: A story for another time. Fully in the closet, Kenneth shuts the door behind him. Though Raven tries to dissuade her, Hannah opens the closet just to find no one their. | AOK Family Lifeline: White Reflection
This world has been connected, tied to the darkness, soon to be completely eclipsed. Opening: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGbybBaJdls Joey: RISING SPIRIT!!! As Joey prepares to use his signature uppercut to end things with the magician, Joey cancels the attack as a blue ray of light protects Niki. The light forms a perfect sphere around Nike before everyone realizes that it is the familiar protection spell, “Protecto”. Everyone: ALEX! Alex: You’ve all done enough in helping me. Now that I know that this one can take me to the one I seek, your services are no longer necessary. Niki: Well it isn’t like I’m trapped just yet. Grabbing a folded handkerchief out of her suit pocket, Niki unfolds it until it is big enough to throw over and cover her. Niki: Now you see me… Alex: NO! Just as the blanket completely covers Niki, Alex dispels her protection charm. The blanket, the only thing remaining from Alex’s spell, falls to the floor just as a 20inch gold ring slides from under the stage curtain. Niki rises up from the ring lifting and swinging it around. It quickly multiplies into four linked rings. Niki: Miss me? Hannah: Only if you brought more tricks. Niki: Seriously, how did you guys find me? Niki reaches for her magic blanket with her free hand, but it is psychically yanked from her reach. Niki: Oh, don’t be an a@#. Kenneth: Hey I’m not the bad guy here. Niki: Yeah! I suppose I should get back to that (stops swinging the continuously multiplying rings, causing them to retreat back into one). Are you watching closely??? Niki tosses the ring into the air and lets it hover in place and spin violently. New rings quickly shoot out of the host ring till the 49th one makes its presence. The rings disappear as clones of Niki pop out of them. Niki 2: Careful now. Niki 35: We’re not real. Niki 11: But the pain is. And with that, the magician army attack in five different directions. Their attacks come in the form of fireballs, magically thrown auditorium chairs, swords of light, and a few other tricks. Joey: *Damn it! I already was no match against 1. How do we defeat 50? Kenneth is the best one for stopping her, but I’m afraid of what’ll happen if she finds him a threat.* Raven: THE HELL IS WITH THESE THINGS. Raven throws punch after punch, but to no effect. Every time a clone is hit, the body just bounces off the blow like a blow-up doll. Barely a scratch or bruise on her opponent, Raven changes into a gorilla for extra strength, but ends up with the same results. Joey: Are they illusions? Attempting to fight fire with fire, Joey uses his illusions to summon: a massive, long and sinuous dragon with silver-white scales and blue, catlike eyes. The dragon shoots a beam of light from its mouth that explodes upon a group of Nikis. The dragon and its destruction disappear and the Nikis continue their attack without even noticing the illusion. Joey hides himself in invisibility to take note of the battle and find a weakness in Niki’s trick. Alex: STUPIFY!!! Alex repeatedly fires her stun spell, causing each Niki she hits to vaporize. Kenneth uses his “butterfly” attack, knocking many away but only able to kill three with each attack. Joey: *Looks like their attacks are the most effective. But Kenneth only has two or three more of those shots left, and Alex will run out of energy soon too. Now what about Hannah? She should be just as successful as Alex, but she’s only doing as well as Raven. Speak of the devil.* Raven turns into a gorilla and tosses the Niki, she’d been wailing on, into a group of clones. Sprinting for her main Niki, Gorilla-Raven jumps and dives at the crowd of clones. Before finishing her signature “frog splash” attack, Raven changes into a heavier brown-bear. Except for the two that get vaporized by the “frog splash”, Raven’s little group of victims magically bounce away from the attack. The clone that was thrown (as well as constantly wailed on), and the one that was hit by the thrown Niki, were the latest two in the “destroyed clone” count. Joey: *Looks like the facts are these.* Like a video game, where opposing forces have a set amount of life they have to take away from their enemy, Raven’s two Niki victims ran out of the life and vaporized. With Raven taking too long to get up, the nearby clones take advantage. A Lioness-Hannah and invisible Joey try to come to Raven’s rescue. Joey: *Damn it they just keep bouncing off our strikes and coming back. And Kenneth and Alex are two far away to help.* Raven reverts back to normal as she finally gets to her feat. Knocking back a Niki, fatigue starts to show in her stance. Noticing this, a clone charges in for the kill with a sword of light. Hannah: HEADS UP. While a lioness, Hannah used her strong legs to leap off a clone and above her endangered comrade. In order to fully intercept the enemy, human-Hannah screams “Heads up.” to get the charging Niki to halt and raise its sword at the falling Hannah. With success, Hannah saves Raven by allowing the enemy to plunge the sword through her own chest. Raven: Hannah, no. Joey: HANNAH… As Raven’s voice shakes in disbelief, Joey’s brain fires up. Joey realizes that the two shapeshifters have the same powers, but while one is sensed to be of no use the other has a better chance at defeating Niki and the clones. Joey realizes that the shapeshifters have 2 separately different special traits. Joey remembers that while Raven can grow into a big animal for super strength, Hannah can separate and… Joey: BECOME BEES AND DESTROY THE REST OF THAT GROUP. Hannah glows a bright gold. A second later and she explodes into a pack of hornets and wasps. One by one, the group of 6 that were hit by Raven’s “frog splash” start to vaporize by the multiple sting wounds. Alex: *Good to see the others can still pull their own weight. And now to hurry up and finish this.* Alex’s explosion/destruction spell “Expulso” takes the form of a spiky sphere of light (star) the size of a basketball. When fighting Marcus Battle’s giant machine “Anubis”, Alex put more concentration into the power of her wand. When she spoke, her words gave off an eerie echo, as though the words were part of a chant. When she shouted the spell’s name, the wand (unusually) let out a spark before firing a much bigger explosion spell. Alex: THUNDER SHAKES THE HEAVENS! LIGHTNING ILLUMINATES THE FIELDS! STUPIFY!!! The wand lets out a small flame. That lasts for a couple seconds. The flame releases sparks and a sizzling noise that sounds like the fuse of a fire cracker being lit. The flame disappears but is replaced by a red light. The light stretches from the wand and over the clones. The light splits, dances around, and strikes the clones like lightning. As the attack ends, the Niki death count reaches a total of 24. Joey: *That’s almost half. Everyone’s getting exhausted, and Hannah can’t keep fighting like that in the presence of fire. There’s something I’m miscalculating. Kenneth: *Almost done. Soon as the real one shows her face I’ll… Kenneth clenched his right hand the way he always does when prepared to use the “mind taker” (a move that takes memories away from the enemy, and/or makes them pass out) technique. To his surprise, an attacking clone stopped and vaporized, instantly. Joey: Was that your “mind taker”? Kenneth: Yeah (unable to see Joey). Joey: Can you concentrate and keep up a long range attack. Kenneth: Is that all (remembering how he once used a long ranged ”mind taker” on James Brown to slow him down)? Joey: First, get the essence of the attack to surround your body (watches Kenneth clench both hands as though trying to dig his nails into something). Now spread it away from yourself, but not so far you loose hold of it. Kenneth: Alright. I got an idea on where you’re going with this. A clone charges at Kenneth with a sword, but vaporizes after getting too close. Using telekinesis to get himself into the air, Kenneth heads for each comrade surrounded by clones. After taking care of Alex, Hannah, and Raven’s group, the 10 remaining Nikis have formed a strait line for Kenneth to easily run through. Kenneth: (*Get ready everyone, she might be the Niki on the end*) Kenneth charges forward, destroying one Niki after the other. Halfway through is when the Niki on the end starts to stretch her arms over her head. As the 6th and 7th are killed off, the numbers “3” and “2” are shouted by the 10th Niki. The 8th and 9th Niki, jump out of line and towards both sides of Kenneth. Kenneth stops to decide which one to go after first, but the 10th shouts “1” and thrusts her hands forward at Kenneth. The ground under Kenneth lifts him into the air, before shaping into a box caging him in. As the seven magic swords start to slowly mold over the box, Hannah and Raven fight the 8th and 9th, who are protecting the 10th. Joey: Alex! That box is a weapon, and the swords are its ammo. Do you understand? Alex: EXPELLIARMUS (she shouts after nodding)!!! Grabbing the wand with both hands, Alex makes a white light stretch from her wand to the “mystic box”. As Alex tries to keep her spell connected, the swords slowly start to disintegrate. Raven: Can you hurry up and just destroy these things (in a struggle hold with her opponent). Hannah: Let’s just check to see that they’re both just clones first. And with that, the shapeshifters crack their knuckles before giving their Niki a hard right. Both clones bounce off the attack but end up knocking against each other. Good enough for her, Hannah spins towards the Nikis till her body turns into bees. After destroying the 8th, the 9th Niki tries to shoot fireballs at Hannah. Raven boots the 9th into the air, and the bees turn into humming birds. The birds fly their beaks into the 9th, leaving one Niki left. Alex: The last one. You’re mine. STUPIFY (unleashing another super charged stun spell that isn’t as powerful as the one used earlier)!!! Joey: Damn it Alex! (*Kenneth, I’m going to open my mind so that your ability to take over it is heightened.*) Kenneth: (*You have telepathy?*) Joey and Kenneth concentrate on Joey’s plan as the 6th, and final, sword starts to form. Because Alex bailed on removing the spell to waist ammo on an evasive Niki, only one of the original seven swords where destroyed. Joey’s hands drop to his sides, and the swords have finished taking shape. With a blank stare and expression on his face, Joey slowly takes a seat far away from the action. Niki dodges another spell but Raven sneaks up from behind. Raven throws a blow to Niki’s head, attempting to knock her out, but Niki ends up bouncing forward like the clones. Niki Clone: You caught me. Niki stops running and whips out the disappearing blanket (was able to take it back during all the fighting). Instead of using it to disappear, Niki holds the blanket up like a bull fighter to taunt Alex. Upset and confused, Alex destroys the last clone. With out anything to hold it, the disappearing blanket floats into the air till it lands on a seat next to Alex. Alex: WHERE ARE YOU? Raven: Kenneth, how you holding up in their? Kenneth/Joey: I’m fine (both saying it in a lowly calm tone). Raven: *That’s good, but Alex brings up an interesting question*(running towards Alex). Check your Marauders map to see where she is. Alex: Ok (calming down). POINT ME!!! Alex grabs for a piece of paper in her robe. After Alex recited the magic words, the paper floats into the air, enlarges, shows a map of the facility, and shows Niki’s dot where the blanket had landed. Raven: Behind us. Niki: Now that’s handy (reaches into her pocket). Alex: STUPIFY!!! Niki: SMOKE AND MIRRORS!!! Niki holds out a violet crystal that spins into the air to absorb the red lightning’s attack. The crystal explodes and releases a thick cloud that surrounds and covers Alex. Raven jumps as a bolt of red lightning strikes near her from the cloud. Niki: Not to worry, she’s just trying her best to hit me, or her main target (watching more lightning flash from the cloud). Raven: So you’re the real one? Which means these spells will break if I break your face in. Niki: I used the clones earlier to see which of you proved the most dangerous. That’s why your psychic friend is in the box about to die, and why I care little about your pity threats. Though I suppose I could give you a head start on trying to save your friend. Niki reaches into her hat for a pocket watch on a chain. Raising the other hand, Niki slides her watch down her sleeve. A second later Niki points the arm to the ground but is unable to get the watch to slide back out. Niki: NOTHING UP MY SLEEVE!!!
The pocket watch materializes and rotates over the “mystic box.” Niki: The box works a little like my clones when trying to destroy it. The watch will slowly spin for a minute. It will swing around like a pendulum when there is only 10 seconds left, and when time is up…might not want to think about that. Raven: Why would you give us this kind of chance? Niki: Because the two most capable of destroying the box are a little preoccupied right now. Don’t want to do that (stopping Raven from running into the cloud to save Alex). Just illusions you’ll find, and you only have 54 seconds left. Cursing under her breath, Raven hurries over to the others. Raven: Joey get off your ass. We need to figure something out. Joey/Kenneth: Everything has been taken care of. Just try damaging the box as much as you can. Hannah: They’ve been doing that for a while now. Raven: Fine, come on Hannah. The shapeshifters grab a couple of chairs to bang against the box, while the magician makes her way into the cloud. Inside the dimly lit clouded world, Niki finds Alex dodging a striking snake that shapeshifts into Alex. Niki looks around for and takes the Marauders map. Niki: So caught up in your hatred (low tone), you don’t even see me. Oh well times up. Niki walks out of the cloud, taking it and the illusions away from Alex. Hannah and a bear, shapeshifting back into Raven, walk away from the box as the watch swings left and right. Alex: What’s going on (falls to the floor, exhausted)? Niki: Nothing important. “GO”! Finishing the incantation to her trick, the “swords of light” rush into the box. First two, then a second couple of swords are deflected from the box. One remaining sword pierces through the box, going in a 5:00 angle. The last one pierces through the box in a 9:00 angle. Hannah: No… Raven: KENNETH, PLEASE SAY SOMETHING. Niki: *Can’t expect him to do any better than that. The perfection of the box is that you can dodge a couple, but not them all. So you have to try to prevent them from getting in and even that is impossible. I’ll get away as I show them the body.* As Niki walks away, the “mystic box” opens to show Kenneth safe and sound. With his right hand touching the ceiling and the left touching the middle-left wall, Kenneth shows how he was able to push out the last two swords that were deflected. And the positioning of his arms and holding his left leg over the swords allowed him to dodge the ones that were able to stab through the box. The swords disappear allowing Kenneth to move freely. Hannah: I had a feeling he made it through (watching Kenneth get into a running position, aimed at Niki). Raven: Get her Kenneth. A metal chair folds up and flies at the back of the mystic box. With Kenneth levitated into the air, the metal chair breaks through the box and acts as a flying skateboard for Kenneth. Darting for the surprised magician, Kenneth raises his right hand in preparation for the “mind taker” attack. Kenneth crash lands just a foot away from Niki, revealing the blood flowing from his ears. Both Kenneth and Joey start to grown trying to stand. The magician darts for the back. Opening the exit door, Niki sees Alex waiting outside for her. Niki: WHAT THE… Raven: The facts are these, fool (cracking her knuckles). Thanks to his ghost powers, Joey is unaffected by mind control. Though, he does have the ability to control others (only if Joey’s victims allow it or are unconscious). Taking control of Kenneth’s body, Joey was able to use the time he had to feel around the box and judge where the swords were going to hit. Levitating himself over and over again, Joey tested and warmed up his telekinetic powers. Learning that he can’t prevent all the swords from entering, Joey decides which holes in the box will allow the swords to enter without harming Kenneth’s body. Listening for the final word to Niki’s spell, Joey looks for the light of the swords to get close before using both hands to psychically force away two swords. With little time left, and the remaining swords making their way in, Joey is only given a second to deflect two more swords and take the stance that will allow him to dodge the remaining two. Getting excitedly warmed up, Joey does the flying carpet/chair thing to purposely make Kenneth look flashy and give Niki a sense of doom. Knowing Kenneth well, Raven checked on him as soon as the “mystic box” opened to show that he was safe. Raven didn’t know what was going on between Kenneth and Joey, but knew that Kenneth was using way too much energy. When Kenneth was revealed to be safe, Raven noticed the small bleeding from his ears. In the case he would fail, Raven turned into a rat and hid by the exit. Using too much energy wasn’t what caused Kenneth to crash, but the addition of minds being transferred back to their original bodies(Kenneth never switched with Joey, but was kept somewhere in the back of his own mind). Seeing Kenneth fall and Niki turning for the exit, Raven quickly crawls out the door to cut the magician off. With quick thinking, Raven changes into Alex to keep Niki from expecting a physical attack. Raven: MAGIC KNUCKLE SANDWICH!!! Niki reaches into her pocket for another crystal to counter a spell that wasn’t being conjured. The crystal fails to repel Raven’s fist, which sends Niki strait to the ground. As Niki rises back up, the real Alex wakes up at the worst possible time. Alex has opened her eyes just in time to see the magician rising up to a fake Alex Shirley. Turning from the exit to look for another way out, Niki sees the rage building up in the real Alex. Alex fires one more round of lightning. Knowing it is not for her, Niki casually steps out of the way so that Raven can take the full effect of Alex’s stun spell. The shocked Alex’s skin peals away from white to a caramel tone, and Raven is thrown out of the building. Kenneth: RAVEN! Hannah helps Kenneth and Joey up, as they try to clear their heads. Niki finally escapes and Kenneth teleports to Raven’s side. Whipping away the tears that start to turn from clear water to red blood, Kenneth kneels down to get the unconscious Raven in his arms. Confused, and sorry for her action, Alex heads over towards Kenneth to check on Raven. Kenneth: STAY AWAY. Alex halts, a little shaken by Kenneth’s words, but slowly braves forward. After only a couple of steps, Alex shields herself from a psychic gust. Kenneth: DIDN’T YOU HEAR ME? Alex: I’m sorry. The Magician, she (grabs her head, feeling some pressure)… Kenneth: I told you what would happen if you hurt her again (raising and aiming a free hand at Alex, concentrating on the “mind taker”). Alex: You have to believe me. I didn’t mean to (starting to feel faint from the pressure)… Kenneth: LEAVE (eyes glowing red)! Alex quickly heads back into the building, free from Kenneth’s attack. Hannah and Joey finally make it outside to see Kenneth kneeling on the ground, bowing his head to the woman in his arms. Joey: Go to them. I’ll be fine (releasing himself from Hannah to lean against the building wall). Hannah runs over to Kenneth and Raven, but turns right back around to see Alex on a broom. In the air, Alex takes one more look before leaving behind the group she was once apart of. End: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MgJUkLFBkxw Next time: Kenneth runs into a shoplifter “LACY, YOU’RE UP”.
| AOK Family Lifeline: White Reflection A white girl with dark-brown hair, that just passes the chin, and bluish green eyes, opens the gate to her front yard. After a long day at school, Alex Shirley heads for the front door of her house. Mouth watering for a slice of carrot cake and feeling little droplets of water hurtling from the heavens, Alex hurries to the door. Letting herself inside, Alex prepares to race upstairs to drop off her backpack before heading into the kitchen for a snack. Alex: MOM, I’M HOME.
Alex gets halfway up the stairs before hearing a loud thud coming from the living room. Alex: Mom. The clouds outside darken the skies as Alex turns back to go down stairs, darkening the house as she makes it to the bottom step. As Alex turns towards the living room, a flash of lightning and a clap of thunder enter the dark and quiet house. Passing the kitchen, Alex never noticed the slice of carrot cake prepared for her. Entering the living room, Alex breathes a sigh of relief as she sees the back of her mother standing in the middle of the room. Relief turns to confusion as Alex sees the face of her mother on a body lying in front of the standing figure. The next thing Alex notices is the blood dripping from the hand of the one that stands and the chest of the one that lies still. As the standing figure turns around, Alex sees it wearing her mother’s face to go with the body. As half of the standing figure’s face is shown, its body and flesh start to shrink and peel away. Dispatching the form of the mother, the standing shape shifter has now taken Alex’s form. The roof of the house tears off and disappears into the sky. The atmosphere enters the living room allowing the fake Alex to disappear into the sky as well. Alex slowly walks over to her dying mother as more of the house starts to get sucked up into the sky. Alex: MOOOMMM! Waking up in the darkness and safety of her bedroom, Alex instinctively reaches for her wand. Alex: LUMOS!!! The wand lets out a brilliant flash before slowly fading away. Alex quickly grabs the wand, allowing her magic to flow into it. The light calmly covers the room, as though someone had turned on the switch for the ceiling light. Alex starts to calm down from the memories of her past. Overcoming her sadness, anger starts to build as the shape shifter pops back into Alex’s mind. Alex: I’ll find you. And when I do… (grabs pillow and tosses it into the air) EXPULSO!!! The fear of blood tends to create fear for the flesh. Opening: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_BhLbB3M9A Hours later, in another house, two best friends are playing a friendly game of “Connect Four”. A mini-afro black guy, wearing black jeans to go along with the black shirt under the opened black jacket, plays by using the red pieces. Playing with the black pieces is a caramel-colored female with light-brown hair that falls halfway past her shoulder blades, wearing white knee-high stockings, a green mini-skirt, a white long-sleeved button down shirt, and a red bow tie, and shorter than her male opponent. Kenneth: *Please don’t see it. Please don’t block it.* Teasing Kenneth long enough, by pretending to be indecisive with her turn, Raven finally drops her piece into the slot Kenneth was cautious of. Not only did her move block Kenneth from putting in his fourth (winning) piece, but it also allowed her to win the game. Raven: Yes! In yo face. Kenneth: WHAT? Raven: I win. Kenneth: Where? I don’t see… Raven: Right here, diagana… Before the sentence can be finished, Kenneth (furiously) knocks the game off the table. He turns back to his opponent only to see that she has used her powers to shape shift into a grinning monkey. Raven changes back to normal and Kenneth uses his psychic powers to open the front door at the sound of the bell. Over the next half-hour, the door is telekinetically opened (repeatedly) for several guests. First time the door is opened, a flock of birds make their way into Raven’s room before shape shifting into one Hannah McInnis. A pair of boots are formed, then Hannah’s white skin color is reveled, black short shorts are slightly covered by a blue skirt, and the black halter neck is slightly covered by a light blue sleeveless robe. Hannah’s transformation is completed with raven dark hair that falls halfway past her back. A white girl just as short as Raven(Lee-Ann Cook) and a man of Asian decent(Bryan Ventura) walk in next. And finally, appearing out of thin air, a pair of black boots, followed by red jeans, black shirt, and a red trench coat dresses a white man hovering in the air. Joey lands on the ground, takes off his coat, and takes a seat Raven: Show off. Joey: You know you like it. Kenneth: Now that everyone’s here, we’ll begin the meeting. Hannah: What about Alex? Kenneth: She can’t be here for the second part of this. First off, welcome back everyone and thank you all for showing up. Joey: You don’t have to be so formal. Kenneth: Its all said and done now. First off, how are things going, Lee-Ann. Lee-Ann: The facts are these: the owner of a chain of companies, and runner for senate, Marcus Battle, killed Roy Hulit. He fooled the world into believing that he hated mutants, but secretly planned to take over the world. In order for this to succeed, Marcus went after anyone with the power to teleport/escape. Kenneth Brown infiltrated Marcus’s software building, Inhert. Using his psychic powers to bypass security, Kenneth learned of Marcus’ involvement in Roy’s death, and escaped his building (with the help of one Hannah McInnis). Marcus sent one of his two best body guars to take care of Kenneth and company. Angela Lyles attacked the group with her huge mechanized suit named the “Enforcer”. Thanks to Angela’s lack of information on Kenneth’s team, the mutants were able to win with the element of surprise. Kenneth takes advantage of the win to use his “mind taking” technique on Angela, erasing her memories of the group as well as her involvement with Marcus. As Lee-Ann closes the chapter on Angela, Hannah and Raven high-five each other, just as they did when they defeated Angela. Lee-Ann: Though she did not recover her memories, Angela regained consciousness in the hospital, nearest the battle zone. In the following couple of months, Angella has received a job as a waitress preparing to enter college. She has only made contact once with Marcus, but only to thank him for the technology he used to stabilize her condition The wristband that she used to bring out the metallic arm, also keeps her muscle paralyzing virus under control. Joey: We couldn’t get it off her, but I was able to lock the weapon inside of the device. Kenneth: Lee-Ann, did Marcus mention anything else about Angela. Lee-Ann: No. Why? Raven: When we fought him, he somehow knew about Kenneth’s “mind taking” ability. Well if Marcus found Angela clueless about her duties to him, after her fight with us, I guess it wasn’t hard for him to put two and two together. Kenneth: That’s what I was thinking. Continue Lee-Ann. Lee-Ann: The mutants waited till the day of their invite to the final showdown. As they made their way inside, the gang had to deal with Konami thugs, Marcus’ last body guard, the Beast Master, and a nanotech enhanced Marcus Battle. After these three obstacles, the gang rallied together to defeat Marcus greatest weapon. A giant machine built to help take over the world. Named after the hardware building it resided in, Marcus unleashed the power of his weapon “Anubis” on the mutants. Due to Marcus’s over confidence, the mutants were able to claim victory. Destroying the machine, half the building’s insides, and Marcus himself, the mutants finish things off by making the mess look like an accidental gas leak explosion. Marcus Battle was believed to be vacationing elsewhere, but DNA evidence has proven that he was in the building when it exploded. And that begs the following question. With all the fighting and even a bit of spilled blood, how did your DNA not get picked up? Joey: We can thank Kenneth for that. He came up wit the idea for me and Alex to combine our unique powers to make a holographic shield real, when the place was blowing up. So this time we used my invisibility powers and her magic to cover our tracks. Kenneth: Solves that mystery, how are things their now? Lee-Ann: As part of the team of lawyers, I’ll be busy for the next few months trying to get some legal disputes settled. I’ll be helping with legally transferring Marcus’ position of power over to someone else. Raven: So you’re not gonna be very reliable for a while. Kenneth: It’s just as well, we really only needed your help with stopping Marcus. But in the case of other badguys that’ll need to be stopped in the future, it would be cool if you could stay as a member of this team. Lee-Ann: Well if you need any help locating any baddies just let me know. Kenneth: Well the person that Alex has been looking for is another shape shifter. That’s pretty much the only info we have. Lee-Ann: Right! I’ll let you know if I hear anything. Bryan: Want me to do the same thing, right? Raven: Yeah, keep your eyes open for anything. Kenneth: “Keep your eyes open” (a joke towards Bryan’s x-ray vision power), Raven shut up. With their part of the meeting done, Bryan and Lee-Ann take their leave. Hannah: So what’s our part. Kenneth: Our part comes with making a choice first. The enemy is someone with the power to look like anyone of us. Raven: So, Hannah and I have that same power. Joey: And it’s the fact that you two shape shifters are on our side that makes things less scary. Kenneth: This person killed Alex’s mother. Alex will most likely not want to just talk to this guy. We have to choose rather or not we want to help Alex on her mission. Then past that we have to choose either: to be involved with killing someone, or to help her find some way to forgive him. I know you guys well enough to know that you’ll assist. I’ll just skip strait to the 2nd decision to make. Personally, I vote to take the bastard out. Joey/Raven: KENNETH!?!? Kenneth: Yeah, yeah! Gasps and shock all around. Look we’ve already experienced something like this, back at Anubis. Joey: So how do you feel about murdering Marcus Battle. Kenneth: Nothing really. I didn’t want him to die, but I did want him to face justice. Joey: Then it is not the same. When you “murder” murder someone, you’ll know the feeling. What happened back there was a result of battle. Battle brought death upon himself. Kenneth: I’m not saying that what we did was a bad thing. But in helping Alex find the murderer, the same thing might happen again. Though we didn’t do it directly, this time we might help put an end to another’s life more directly this time. And this time the blood will definitely will be on one, or all of our hands. Raven: That’s still… Hannah: I think I get it (talking for the first time). Even though we help Alex through the journey, she’ll have to make the final decision on her own. When she joined this team this was her main goal. After this she’ll be like Lee-Ann, and will have to choose either to stay or continue her life away from us. Joey: Hannah (sounding just as surprised as the others are looking, because of her decision)… Hannah: But there’s still a second choice, trying to quench her thirst of vengeance in a way that doesn’t involve staining her hands in blood. Kenneth: Thank you, Hannah: Now even though I’d prefer to do things one way, the vote is obviously three-to-one. In doing it this way, you guys will have to… The gang is alerted by the sound of knocking at the window. Raven opens it to let in a pigeon holding a red letter. Once opened, the letter lets out an ear piercing, devilish scream with orders to meet Alex at an abandoned factory. Hannah/Joey: Isn’t that… Kenneth/Raven: Roy Hulit’s. Kenneth: It’s almost the exact time she wants us to meet, but I’ll finish before we go. You guys will have to try to give her any available advice you have. Try to talk to her about the big picture of what she should do when she meets the target. Raven: What about you(puts on a blue school jacket)? Kenneth: My intentions voted the other way (puts on a long red, opened front, hoodie). I can’t risk giving any bad advice especially if you guys are doing good to bring her around. Fair enough? Everyone nods in agreement, and with that they head for the building filled with so much nostalgia. The group opens the door to the building that started their first adventure, and start instantly shouting for Alex. A hooded, black robbed figure makes an appearance on the second story of the warehouse. Removing the hood to reveal her face Alex points and beckons the group to stand on a piece of carpet. Alex: WINDGUARDIAN LEVIOSA!!! As Alex takes aim, her wand shouts out a sparkly green beam at the carpet. Like riding a magic carpet, the gang is lifted towards Alex’s level. As the group jump off the carpet, Alex takes them to a room in the back. Kenneth: Why all the secrecy? This place is abandoned. Alex: Don’t want to be interrupted. Thing about this place is that a group of mutants could just walk right on in and hold a meeting of some kind. Hannah: What gave you that idea? Alex: HOMENUM REVELIO!!! Holographic creatures start to appear next to everyone. One dopey looking sea creature, with its tail inside of a sea shelled creature, stands back to back to Joey. A firry pony walks around Hannah, and stops to be petted. A ball, appearing out of nowhere, rolls up to Kenneth before unfolding into a mousy-armadillo creature. And like two puppy dogs: two fox like creatures stand, each, at Alex and Raven’s side. Alex: That was a double check. Remember, the enemy I pursue can take any of our appearances, but it can’t change the way it’s inner monster looks. I might do a lot of these check ups for a while. Now onto the main reason, I’ve brought you all here. My place of stay is in a small apartment complex. Every now and then I go back to the place where my mother was killed. My home. Earlier that day, Alex woke up from a nightmare that reminded her of the life changing incident. Though it was still dark out, Alex would not be able to fall back to sleep. Taking a walk, Alex pays a visit to her old abandoned home. This is due to partly wishing to go back to a simpler time, and partly to remember her goal. Alex pulls out her magically floating map to show every detail of the house. Though she was going to use it to try and see if there was anything her mother hid away, Alex immediately notices that someone was already inside the building. A dot on the outside of the house, on the map, highlights Alex’s name. A dot on the inside of the house, on the map, highlights the name “Niki Agho”. Alex pinches her self to make sure she’s awake before heading towards the entrance. Alex is not successful in opening the door silently. And with her eyes on the map, Alex see’s Niki quickly moving/running from the kitchen to the living room area. Realizing the intruder is trying to exit the back door, Alex gets into position to shine some light on the situation. Alex: LUMOS!!! As the hooded figure opens the back door, she turns around to show half of her black face. Niki: Still looking for that certain someone. Alex: Who are you? Instead of answering, Niki takes advantage of Alex’s shock and flees. Chasing after Niki, into the outside, Alex finds her self completely alone. Opening the map and making it reveal its full capacity, show the entire neighborhood, Alex looks for any moving dots. Because it is only 2 in the morning, Niki’s dot was easily seen moving about. Knowing she wont be able to follow now, Alex places an enchantment on the Niki dot that acts as a homing device. Back at Roy Hulit’s warehouse, Alex has displayed the map on the wall for all to see. The map shows Niki in front of a crowd near the “Twilight” music studios. Hannah: Is that… Alex: I intend on finding out. Let us depart. Raven: Alex, one sec. Alex: What is so important you must delay me, shape shifter. Raven: …nothing lets go. Niki: Alright now, for my final act I would like a little help from the audience. How bout you down in front, the man in the back with the gold watch, and the woman with the butterfly necklace. As the three chosen audience members meet the magician at the front, each drops a piece of jewelry into the hat. The Asian lady leaves her necklace, the black man leaves his watch, and the white man places his wedding ring into the hat before returning to his seat. Niki reaches into the pockets in her suit, placing ribbon, clay, and a lit match into the hat. As the owners of the jewelry look on, nervously, Niki waves her wand over the hat. Niki: ABRA-KADABRA! BARACK-OBAMA! The presence of the lit match resurfaces, as a quick burst of fire ignites out of the hat. The surprise causes Niki to drop the hat out of fright. Frightful gasps are quickly drowned out by cheering applause. As the hat drops to the floor, three doves fly out and land in the hands of the volunteers. Each dove magically explodes, leaving behind ribbon around the butterfly necklace, the gold watch, and the wedding ring. As the act finishes, everyone grants one more round of applause before getting ready to leave. Niki: You’ve been a wonderful audience. Remember, my next show will be held at the “Guilty Gear” book store in a couple of days. I guarantee the final act will be much more astonishing than anything you’ve witnessed today. As the audience fully empties out, the auditorium’s curtains shut violently fast. Niki steps away, surprised. Though the main audience had filed out, four new faces step in. Kenneth: Needed to make sure you wouldn’t try to escape to the back. Niki: What is the meaning of this? Niki sees the fifth, and most important, member of the gang enter the auditorium. Alex: I’ll ask once more(aims wand). Who are you? Niki: How did you find m.. Alex: EXPULSO(blowing up a chair next to Niki)!!! If English doesn’t work on you I know another language that will. Niki: Alright, already. My name is Niki, but I’m not the one who killed your mother. Alex: Then why were you at the old place. Niki: I was asked to find and keep a look out on you. Alex: By whom? Niki: By the same person that actually did murder your mother Shocked, especially by the magician’s casual sense, Alex’s pointed wand starts to shake. Alex: Are you supposed to “take care of me”. Niki: No. I’m not to lay a finger on you. I’m just supposed to keep an eye on you. When the time is right, I am to bring you to the shape shifter. The shifter just needs a couple more days of preparation. Alex: NO! YOU ARE TAKING ME TO THAT MURDERER, NOW. Niki: Or What? Kill me and you loose precious information. Kenneth: Yeah, but all we have to do is capture you and get some truth serum brewing. And escape should be impossible for you. The odds are stacked in our favor. Niki: Yeah, I saw that. That is why I’ve taken the time in our little chat to summon this little beauty. Niki closes her eyes, claps her hands together, causing a small shimmer of sparkles to fall from the hands when they move, leans forward, but arches back to stretch her clasped hands over her head. As she opens her eyes, Niki aims and thrusts her hands forward at Joey. The ground underneath Joey rises and surrounds him. The ground twists and shifts itself into a box with three doors: used for opening the top, middle, and bottom sections. As the box starts to float into the air, everyone starts to notice Niki’s hand sparkles being released into the air over the magic box. The sparkles mix together before becoming brilliant swords of light. Niki: Dark Secret technique: RED BOX! Three. Two. One. Go. While shouting the name of her technique out loud, a number appears on Joey’s three doors (top to bottom in numerical order). Now realizing the danger Joey has been put in, the gang is awe struck on how to help without also being attacked by the swords from above. And on Niki’s “Go”, the swords strike into the box. With only the tips of the swords in, the gang watches as swords edge in deeper. Raven: COME ON! Following Raven’s lead, the group tries to grab the swords and pull them out. Niki: No use in using regular brute strength. You’ll need to fight power with power, though witchcraft should be the most effective. Alex tries to come up with a spell, but stops as the others stop trying to pull out the swords. Raven: They stopped!?!? Niki: Too Late. A second later the swords stab all the way through the box. Hannah: JOEY! As Hannah’s echoes start to waver, the illusion of Joey phases through the impaled box and disappears. A second shout is heard allowing everyone to breathe easily again. Joey: RISING SPIRIT! Though it was and wasn’t what Niki was expecting, a head with no body appears right in front of her. As the rest of Joey’s body reveals itself for the upcoming uppercut, Joey cancels his attack as a blue ray of light protects Niki. The light forms a perfect sphere around Niki before everyone realizes that it is the familiar protection spell, “protecto”. Everyone: ALEX!!! Ending: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oX2gYCTRMmo Next time: Alex's *SHOCKING* (GET IT. You will in the next episode) decision pushes her away from the team.
| AoK Warriors: Chance With great power, comes great responsibility. Opening: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvQyJKBfLro Marcus gets into his elevator, which plummets strait down at a high speed. Raven: Kenneth, are you ok? Kenneth: Yeah! Lets finish this. The two mutants dive down the elevator’s tunnel. After a half a minute of falling, Kenneth and Raven use their powers to safely land in a dimly lit room of darkness. The high up ceiling makes the hundreds of tiny lights look like the far away stars in a night sky. The lights slowly glow brighter to reveal more of the room. Marcus: My ultimate goal(voice is heard echoing), it goes beyond the limitations of the power of a senator or president. Raven: Then you’re obviously going for dictator(making sure that her voice is also an echo). But even if you succeed with this country, you’re still up against the world. Marcus: That’s part of the plan. First, I’ll challenge and easily defeat the military of this country. The fact that I have become good friends with them, through supplying them with weapons from one of my best companies, will give me an edge over them. But I’m not completely heartless. I’ll use non-lethal means of defeating them. Then I’ll go after the rest of the worlds military. But its like I said before, an enemies’ weapons are not what I fear. it’s the enemy’s ability to escape, and possibly have another chance to defeat me. Kenneth: People with the power to escape, like the old man and his black holes. Marcus: Him and anyone else with the power to escape must be eliminated for my goal to be realized. Kenneth: And that’s your plan in a nutshell? Marcus: The only thing keeping it from being completely perfect is the fact that you creatures have taken away one of my pilots. Kenneth: *I know he’s talking about that enforcer lady, but what does he mean by pilots*? The lights have finally filled the entire room. The inhabitants include Kenneth and Raven facing against a machine much bigger and just a little bit different than the Enforcer’s version. The bulky legs are taller and thicker. The arms consist of animal claws on both the left and right. The head resembles the head of a ferocious canine, the eyes are white glowing headlights on each side, and the mouth opens to reveal rows of missiles as the teeth. Marcus can be seen through some kind of protective glass, near the lower stomach of the machine. He sits around a set of controls like the ones used by the Enforcer. Marcus: Humans, and lowly creatures. Mutants, and those that believe their powers give them the right to rule as gods. This machine, and a few others, will be the titans used to shape up the new world. And though he has the name of a god, Anubis doesn’t like those that trespass into his home. The fingertips aim at the two trespassers and fires a barrage of bullets. Kenneth and Raven use their gifts of flight to help escape and maneuver through the bullet spread. Marcus: Looks like you’re the slowest at that(Anubis ceases fire but keeps a finger aimed at Kenneth). A bit of overkill, but I do hope you survive this. I don’t get to test Anubis out on many live targets. Anubis’ mouth snaps open a little wider to fire three missiles at Kenneth. Kenneth: Raven, stay clear of this one. Kenneth flies toward the missiles and starts to spin around, spreading his telekinetic power. The physical activity allows him to swirl the missiles around in his control. As the missiles thrusters run out of power, Kenneth lands them safely and far away from each other. Marcus: Nice catch. Raven: I’ll say(reaching for one of the missiles). These will still explode right? Marcus: No harm in finding out, right? The fingers aim and fire once more at Raven. Raven changes into a bear and grabs the missile. She quickly hurls it at Anubis to force the finger guns to aim away from her. After destroying the flung missile, Marcus aims Anubis’ right gun fingers back at his enemies. Kenneth has now dropped to his knees, in front of Raven, and aimed his hands at the machine. The bullets fire, but seem to get deflected by some kind of invisible bubble surrounding the two. Raven: Hope you had another idea after this one(watching the bullets get closer). Kenneth: I’ve been storing up a bit of teleportation power, hopefully I can get us inside the machine. Raven: Hopefully? Kenneth: The cockpit is too small for three people, and seems only barely able to support a second, which leads the rest of the inside. But if I send us somewhere with just metal around, we’re done for. Raven: Well you know that I trust you. Lets do this(grabs Kenneth’s outstretched hand). Marcus: If only you two had lasted a little longer. Didn’t get a chance to test ou…WHAT DID YOU DO(asking this, after the finger guns have halted fire)? There is nothing wrong with Anubis, and I’m not out of bullets. WHAT KIND OF POWER COULD YOU HAVE TO STOP ANUBIS? Kenneth: Its Joey(looking around, trying to find him). Raven: How can you tell? Kenneth: Cause their’s his dance partner. Kenneth points to a swarm of bees heading for the cock pit. The bees land on the cockpit, change into even more and smaller flies, and disappear into the cockpit with Marcus. Instead of panicking, Marcus presses two buttons just as the flies morph into a grinning chibi-Hannah. Hannah: Hello. Marcus: Goodbye. Hannah: Ahhh, where you going(watching Marcus’ body get sucked into the chair)? Marcus: I’m not going anywhere. As Marcus disappears completely, the controls follow up the disappearing act leaving Hannah with just the chair. The chair breaks free, the cockpit’s shield changes from a half to a full sphere, and is fired away from Anubis. Hannah’s pod lands in a corner far from the central floor’s battle. Marcus is slowly brought back to the outside, along with the controls and a new seat, but no protective shield this time. Marcus: The cavalry has arrived, and I see that one of them is invisible and has stopped both my guns and missiles. Don’t worry(looking at Kenneth and Raven’s shocked expressions), I was only able to see these things while on the inside of Anubis. But lets try not to relax. Just cause I’m exposed doesn’t mean I can’t try out Anubis’ hand-to-hand skills. Joey: RISING SPIRIT! Joey’s signature surprise attack fails, as Anubis had already started to back up. Anubis claws at it’s enemy, but misses and allows Joey to go back to being invisible. Anubis’ attention has now focused on trying to crush and swipe Raven and Kenneth. Anubis ducks out of the way of an eerily flashing yellow light. Marcus observes as the light causes the piece of wall, that it touches, to explode. The goodies look up to see Alex flying from the entrance, on a broom, towards Hannah. Alex: ALOHAMORA(freeing Hannah)! Marcus: A shooter. Quite interesting(both raising and firing Anubis’ right claw at Alex). Alex: *Not again*. PROTECTO! The blue shielding light starts to protect Alex but also starts to shatter, bringing up a case of nostalgia. Joey makes a quick save, visibly flying Alex out of harms way(just as the shield shatters). While still air born, Alex fires two more exploding spells at a very agile Anubis. Joey drops Alex off, aims his hand back at the titan and goes back into being invisible. Alex starts to chant before firing her next spell Alex: SHAKE, SHATTER, CONSUME HIM(though not very loud, her voice gives off a kind of an echo)…EXPULSO! The witches wand lets out a spark before firing a bigger explosion spell. Seeing the light aimed for the head, Marcus makes Anubis dodge to the left and starts to reel in the right claw(which is connected to the machines wrist by a cable). Halfway at Anubis, the light breaks into three regular sized explosive spells. Anubis avoids one, but the cable reeling in the claw and the right leg are hit. The claw zips freely past its master, and Anubis is forced to his knees. Marcus: Invisible person(sounding more tired and annoyed), I want my guns and missiles back if you don’t mind. The headlights blink black, casting a different kind of light on the intruders. The only unnatural looking person in the room is now Joey, who’s invisibility doesn’t seem to be very effective at the moment. The left hand aims and fires a red beam of light at Joey. A blue light from Alex, shields Joey from Anubis’ destructive laser blast. Joey ditches the invisibility gig and flees, just as both the laser and protection spell dissipates. Marcus tries once more, in failure to use his guns. The laser prepares itself to fire once more. Kenneth: Joey! Joey: I gave up invisibility in order to move around more freely. I still have control of his guns and missiles, but that laser works a different way. Alex: PROTECTO! Knowing that the shield wont last for more than a second. Kenneth receives a nose bleed trying to curve it’s aim while his friends escape. Raven: What can we do. Joey: In order to defeat an enemy more powerful than you, you must find a way to make it’s power work against itself. Kenneth: The missiles. I have an idea. Everyone does what they can to avoid the third laser blast. While the laser leaves him alone, Kenneth makes a constant beckoning motion with his left hand. Kenneth: HE CAN NOT FIRE AT US A FOURTH TIME. LISTEN CAREFULLY FOR INSTRUCTIONS EVERYONE. HANNAH, TWO O’CLOCK AND QUICKLY. ALEX, FIRE AFTER I FIRE. Joey, help Raven into the air. Raven, aim for the mouth. As a cheetah makes its way to Joey and Raven with one of the missiles, Kenneth charges at Anubis to keep Marcus distracted. Marcus starts to aim his left hand at Kenneth, but changes his target to the rolling missile following Kenneth. As the laser fires, Kenneth snaps his finger to make the missile flop right in front of him. As the missile falls, Kenneth leaps with both hands clenched together over his head. Kenneth: ALEX, BUTTERFLY! Marcus hesitates for a second on rather to finish Kenneth or stop the missile. Marcus goes for the missile, as he sees a stream of blue light catching and lifting the bomb closer to him. The missile explodes, not harming but temporarily blinding Marcus. The laser stops halfway through its usual runtime and the hand swats the smoke away from Marcus’ view of his enemies. Marcus is finally able to see that Alex is leaning against the back wall, Kenneth is on his hands and knees, Hannah is standing alone where Joey and Raven where(earlier), Joey has fallen from the sky(back into Marcus’ view), but Raven is the only one still missing. Kenneth: JOEY! GIVE HER SOME COVER. Joey: GIVE ME A COINE, QUICK(seeing Marcus looking up at a raven carrying a missile towards him). Marcus takes aim just as Joey is given the coin. Joey flips the coin as high into the air just as Marcus fires his laser at Raven. The laser’s fire is thrown way off and cancelled once more. The same brilliant light that Alex once used to blind Raven, has now been used to blind Marcus. As the light dissipates, Marcus’ vision is cleared only to show him a thousand more ravens gunning for him. With no other choice, Marcus shoots the laser wildly trying to hit anything. The illusions just glitch from the attack, but the wild attack still proves to be very dangerous. As Raven tosses the missile to Anubis’ opened mouth, the wild laser hits her for a long second and a half. Kenneth’s psychic powers protected her enough, to let Raven blackout for a second and return to her natural form. Raven comes to, just as she softly lands in Joey’s arms. Raven: What happened(getting onto her feet)? Joey: I think he protected you. Raven was mainly wondering why Anubis was still shooting laser at the illusions, but has now focused all her attention on the bleeding Kenneth. Blood streamed from the ears, eyes, mouth, and nose has started to actually dry on his face, like badly marked face paint. Kenneth: We all need to get to Alex(talking out of breath). Once their drop your hold over Anubis and the illusions. I’m fine(seeing Raven’s eyes start to water), I just can’t move right now. Not while I’m concentrating. Hannah, Joey, and Raven help get Kenneth over to Alex as quickly as possible. Alex: I’m too weak to protect even myself. Their’s n… Joey: I’ll help you, just get ready to make the strongest shield possible. Just as Kenneth asked, Joey releases his hold over the weapons and destroys all but one of the fake birds. The laser out of juice. Marcus accidentally(out of desperation) fires a bullet at it. Once the final illusion has disappeared, Marcus figures that Joey has lost his concentration. Kenneth: Do it, now. Alex starts to conjure her shield, just as Marcus takes the necessary precaution of closing Anubis’ mouth. The facts are these: Though Raven threw the missile in, Kenneth used his power to softly lay the missile on top of the lower row of Anubis’ teeth. The way the teeth are supposed to align together, once the mouth has shut, has now caused Marcus Battle his own demise. As Anubis’ mouth is slammed shut, a top row missile slams on the irregularly(psychic) placed missile. The explosion quickly makes its way towards the shielded mutants, slowly cracking up. Alex: HEY! I need to concentrate(turning red as Joey, gently, throws his arms around her). Kenneth: His ghostly powers give him the ability to possess people, sort of. You have the ability to create “anything” out of “nothing”, he can make “nothing” look like “anything”. Right now, he’s trying to give you the ability to make the illusions of a shield, real. Alex: Ok, I’ll give it a try. And with the flick of her wand, Alex shields the group in a safe reinforced by two bigger safes. By the time the explosion breaches the safes, Kenneth has stored enough energy to teleport everyone out of the building, Anubis. News Reporter: Its been three days since the hardware for electronics building, Anubis, was caught in a terrible explosion. As stated before, their were no casualties since all employees were all on vacation. Other buildings owned by Marcus Battle, have stepped in to deal with the situation, so as not to interrupt those on vacation. Reports say that the explosion was due to a gas leak, but the place should be back up and running within a few months. Raven: Seriously? A gas leak explosion? Joey: The explosion started deep under the factory, so it makes sense that the damage to the factory itself looks like a small explosion of some kind occurred. Plus, after we made it out I snuck back in with Alex to make sure it looked that way. Lee-Ann: I’m just glad that tyrant finally got his. Though, I’m still getting used to the fact that he didn’t really hate our kind. What about the secret elevator thing? Bryan: I checked it out. Its too clogged up for anyone to find out what was down their. What about those Konamies that got taken in to custody? Kenneth: Trust me. They wont be talking. Hannah: So is it over. Raven: You saw what happened. Marcus was practically… Hannah: I don’t mean that. I mean us. Raven: Ahhh(hugging her)! Kenneth: Oh another adventure. Don’t worry, we’ll all get some rest. Then we’ll help Alex find the shapeshifter she’s looking for. Raven: She accepted our help? Kenneth: Yeah! So for now, I guess meeting is adjourned. The chapter of the Warriors vs. the Tyrant is over. Everyone says their goodbye’s before leaving, but Kenneth is held back. Kenneth: What? Raven: The chapter that included them is over. We have one more mission still open. Elsewhere, in a different household, a mocha-color skinned woman, with Asian oriented eyes, black hair going down to her cheeks, is watching the same news show as it comes to an end. After hearing the doorbell ring through the apartment, the young lady opens the door to see an unfamiliar face holding a package for her. Joanna: What is this? I just moved here. Delivery Lady: Look, my business is to deliver. Your’s is whatever you decide to do with it. Joanna: Anything for me to sign? Delivery Lady: Oh, what(checking pockets with a surprised look on her face)? Uh, look. I’m really busy, lets just forget about that part. And have a nice day miss. As the delivery lady runs off, Joanna brings the package into the middle of the room. As she opens the box, the first thing she sees is a lot of green bills. Getting over her initial shock, Joanna empties the box of nothing but money and a book titled “Diary of Roy Hulit”. Realizing that it’s her father’s, Joanna feels angered before bursting into tears. The facts are these: after defeating Percy Jones and his group of Konamies, Joanna insisted on being left behind and not brought to her father. Soon after the mutants left, the police showed up and arrested everyone found in the facility. Joanna was easily let go after being admitted as a kidnapped victim of Percy’s gang. Joanna quickly sold the riches she was able to steal from the mansion to rent herself out an apartment to stay. It was only a week later that Joanna decided to go looking for, and fond out about her father’s death. She became confused whenever people said they saw her seeing him off right before he died. Now Joanna looks through her late father’s diary, learning about his feelings during their time together, how life was like for him with his newly developed mutant powers, and running into and rescuing a couple of bank robbing mutants. A rat, in the vent , scurries away from the scene to the outside. Outside, the rat changes into the delivery lady then Raven Johnson. Raven: You sure you don’t wanna watch. Kenneth: It’s a big book to watch her read through. Sides, I know a happy ending when I see one. Raven: But maybe we should talk to her. Give some closure on a few of those pages she’ll run into. Kenneth: That’s not(whipping out a few pieces of paper from his pockets) gonna be a problem. Raven: What are those. Kenneth: The parts that would kill her. Raven: You have to put those back. Kenneth: Raven. Does she really need 100% of the truth, or peace for her shattered soul? Raven: You stay up all night thinking of that one? Kenneth: Maybe an hour or so(smirk). Raven: Just beam us home you crazy boy. As the two mutants hold hands to disappear, the ripped out pieces of diary paper are left behind to be blown away in the wind. The ripped out pieces of paper described, Roy’s hardship without his daughter. And his suspicion of how he lost her and his fortune to Percy. What Joanna gets to read, is how Roy didn’t want her working in the factory any longer, and that he had saved up a good fortune(even during the time the factory had started to go downhill) to give to her to start her own life. One other page, removed by Kenneth, has Roy finding out that the fortune he had saved for Joanna had been stolen. The money found in the same box as the diary, is the insured money that Kenneth and Raven stole from the bank on that fateful day that started everything. | AoKWarriors: Loop & LoopWe are drawn to each other. Like drops of water, like the planets. We repulse each other. Like magnets, like the colors of our skin.Opening: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVin-w8WZBgMarcus: Funny how we know each other, but still haven’t met till this very day. Lets get to business. Alex: *I wonder how the others are doing?* Konami-thug: SAY CHEESE BI… Alex: EXPULSO!!!
The explosion spell passes through, disintegrating a fired bullet, as it makes its way towards the firearm held by the thug. As the gun explodes, the thug checks but has little time to be relieved to see his hand unharmed. Alex: Go ahead. Give me one more reason to use that spell directly on you.
Alex takes the frightened reaction towards her advantage as the remaining Konamies runaway or just hesitate to fight back. Marcus: *The shape shifter is the only one I’m worried about fighting*. One question, why do you guys hate me so much. Raven: You killed Roy Hulit. Marcus: Well that’s a given, but it isn’t like you knew him. Kenneth: No, but killing a mutant and being a person that hates them kind of throws fuel on a fire. Basic self defense. Marcus: Mutant hater? Oh, you’re referring to my double life. The one were I make public appearances, during my time in office, and lie about my feelings towards mutants. Raven: Wait, no. Even if your hate for mutants has been a hoax, you still killed a mutant. Kenneth: Plus, I overheard that you had interests in a mutant serial killer. Marcus: Even so(blushing), did you hear me say anything about making a pact, or make plans to catch him. Exactly(witnessing Kenneth and Raven “stumped” looks). Raven: So why kill the old man. Marcus: Because his power threatened my true goal. To me, the most dangerous person isn’t the most powerful mutant. Instead, it is the kind with the ability to escape(getting out of his chair). Which means that you two wont be much of a match for me.
Marcus charges forward and Raven passes Kenneth to do the same. Erik stumbles backward from one of Hannah and Joey’s teamed attacks. Erik: *Damn illusions. I’ll just have to get rid of these frail eyes* Beast Mimicry: Sight of the Bat.
Already a witness to Erik’s ability to take in animal characteristics, Joey realizes that this latest technique has shattered the powers of illusion and invisibility. Erik opens his eyes to show that they have become completely white. Erik: That’s better. Hannah: Too bad you’re just blind now. And I thought you were weak before. Joey: Hannah try not to provoke him. Erik: Just for that(grinning) you die first. Hannah: *I’ll just have to destroy his sight*.
As Erik makes his way to her with cheetah speed, Hannah’s skin peels away and size starts to shrink. Erik: You’re trying to change, I see. VENOMOUS STRIKE!!!
The facts are these: Erik’s powers allow him to summon the traits of other animals to gain abnormal strength, speed, etc. Many mutants experiment with their gifts to develop techniques. A couple of examples include the “Butterfly”(weak telekinetic energy that is concentrated in one spot then released like a grenade) and the “Rising Spirit”(slowly dispelling the power of invisibility right in the face of the enemy to cause him/her to loose their guard, panic, etc.). One of the traits that Erik has called upon, earlier in the fight, has been the “Strike of the Snake”. This allows Erik to throw lightning-quick jabs, just as a snake strikes with lighting-quick speed. With concentration and practice, Erik is able to combine his “bull” and “snake” powers to create a punch that can pierce through almost anything. Like others before her, Erik throws a punch strait through Hannah’s chest. The reactions of both Erik and Joey are mixed from the fact that Erik’s fist isn’t dripping with blood. The smiling Hannah just glows and explodes into a pack of hawks. Erik staggers back in disbelief from the fact that he didn’t kill Hannah and now sensing that there are well-over 10 bodies now in the room. To confuse Erik even further, the hawks come close together and disassemble repeatedly. This causes Erik’s special vision to repeatedly show him only 2 enemies one minute, and many enemies the next. Erik: *The flapping noises make it obvious that the shape shifter has taken the form of a bird. The ghost must be using special illusions to give off the presence of many foes. Whatever the cause, I’ll just attack them all*.
Noticing Erik’s preparation of attack, the flock of Hannah’s take to the sky. As the hawks disassemble for an aerial attack, each shape shifts into a different flying creature. The sense of change was baffling enough, but with half the flying population turned into screeching bats, Erik’s sensors confuse and disorientate him even further. The flock of Hannah’s land successful pecks, bites, claws, and any other attack imaginable by flying animals. Joey sees the opportunity and goes in for a right-hook that sends Erik to the ground. As Hannah lands and morphs back into herself, Erik picks himself up to reveal that his eyes have reverted back to normal. Erik: I was wrong. It wasn’t my eyes I couldn’t trust, just my weak human instinct. Hannah: Giving up? Erik: I will leave this fight. But my replacement is ruthless. Little respect in honor, kills cold-heartedly, and usually…the last resort. LEGENDARY, BEAST MIMICRY:…
Erik drops to a squat, with his fists resting on the ground. The hair grows thick and past the shoulders. The muscles grow just enough to cause the clothes to rip. As Erik raises his head, the pupils turn black and overlap the entire eye. And though Erik is unable to open his mouth with out showing a bit of teeth, he still unconsciously mouths the name of his new form. Joey reads Erik’s lips out loud to reveal the finish of his sentence, “Legendary Beast Mimicry:…” Erik/Joey: Beast-Master.
Without warning, the Beast-Master leaps and dropkicks Joey away from Hannah. As a follow up, the Beast-Master extends his claws and ripples through the nearby Hannah. Joey, who only witnessed so much, picks himself up in time to see the top half slide and fall off the bottom half of Hannah’s body. Kenneth: BUTTERFLY!
Kenneth’s signature attack is only slightly effective in forcing away an already retreating Marcus Battle. After fending off Mr. Battle, Kenneth catches his fainting friend. Raven: I’m fine. He just surprised me with that taser. Kenneth: What taser? Marcus: Confused? Then listen up, for the facts are these. Didn’t it seem a little weird why I invited you here for a showdown, instead of involving the authorities. Kenneth: Even though there is the case of a murder, the only real evidence is some kind of confession from you. Marcus: Half correct. The second half was for the chance to test a few things. Kenneth: Like that robot lady versus a gang of mutants. Marcus: And my new body with bionic implications. Raven: The thing on his wrist looks just like the one on that robot-arm woman. Marcus: Yes, but it’s a bit different. The only metal I need are a bunch of nano-machines, both inside and hovering directly outside my body, emitting electronic waves. The waves messages the muscles which juices my strength, stamina, speed, and even the ability to heal/regenerate. And amplifying the waves allows for a current of electricity to flow through, but not harm me. The same can’t be said for anyone touching me.
Marcus does the same thing to his metal wrist band that he did earlier to taser Raven, and charges at the two. Raven prepares for another bout but Kenneth steps forward, thrusts his arms forward, and aims the palms of his hands at Marcus. Kenneth: DRAGONFLY!
Raven feels a gentle gust from an unseen force, while Marcus is thrown against his desk by the direct power of the force. Marcus tries to get up but keeps fumbling back to the ground. At the same time, Kenneth’s arms go limp. Raven: What was that? Kenneth: Long story short, a huge telekinetic blast. Raven: You can’t do those without… Kenneth: I’m the guy with the weak psychic powers, I know. Good news is that there is no blood loss like usual. Raven: Bad news? Kenneth: I can’t feel my arms. Raven: Can you still use the “Mind Taker”? Kenneth: Yeah! And we need to hurry. His nanos are shocking him for adrenaline. Raven: Then I’ll hold him down.
Raven cartwheels into an albino ape and onto Marcus’ back. Marcus’ full body taser becomes noticed when Raven is forced back into her original state, gritting her teeth. Concentrating, Kenneth uses telekinesis to raise his hand over the head of Marcus, which is being held by Raven. Kenneth: Battle, THIS IS THEN END. Kenneth/Raven: *We did it*. Alex: EXPULSO!!!
After destroying the gun in his hand, Alex finishes off the remaining Konami with a stun spell. After making it towards the building, Alex stops short of the entrance and turns back. Alex: Our deal is complete. No need for me to stick around. I can find the killer on my own.
Alex’s thoughts are interrupted by the arrival of a biker. Biker: Hey(stopping next to Alex)! Do you know if anyone has already gone inside. Alex: Yes…and I’m bout to join them. Is their anything I can help you with. Biker: No thanks. You’ve done enough.
As the biker continues to drive, Alex turns back towards the building. Alex turns back once more to see that the biker has parked and stepped off the motorcycle. The biker takes the helmet off, revealing her black skin and brown eyes, and shakes her dark-brown helmet-hair till it falls past her shoulders. The biker then sighs a small puff of fire from her mouth before making her way towards the building. Biker-girl: Lets get this over with. Alex: Rosetta Williams(remembering the interesting name from the “list” located at the building, Jehuty)? Rosetta: Do we know each other? Alex: No. I’ve just heard of you. Rosetta: Well, always nice to meet a fan.
Rosetta cups a hand over her mouth and exhales a giant ball of fire at Alex. The Beast Master soars through the air and descends to crush Joey. Fury in his eyes and a clenched fist raised at his enemy, Joey rises from the ground to meet the beast in the air. Starting with the first aerial attack, the Beast Master uses Joey’s flying body to push and keep himself, and the fight, in the air. The Beast Master looses his focus as his senses alert him like an animal’s senses alert it of sudden danger or change in the weather. Joey takes the opportunity to grab Beast Master by the neck at his shirt, to keep him air born and gets in a couple of jackhammer punches. Joey’s assault comes to a halt as relief has overwhelmed him. The relief comes from seeing that the top half of Hanna’s body exploded into a bunch of ants, after hitting the floor. Both the ants and the bottom half of Hannah’s body start to transform into a flock of many different flying animals. Joey’s relaxing moment costs him the fight in the air. The Beast Master breaks Joey’s hold, drops and grabs hold of Joey’s legs, and swings to gain momentum needed to sling Joey into the ground. The flyers swoop in to keep Beast Master from banking in on his assault on Joey. Beast Master avoids the flying attacks but manages to actually tear off half the wing of a dove. This attack causes the flyers to immediately come together as a bleeding from the shoulder, Hannah McGinnis. Joey: Are you ok? Hannah: I’m impervious to most slashing attacks, but don’t worry bout me. You’re the only one he can sense now(Erik turns around, from chasing Hannah, and goes after Joey). Will you be alright with that. Joey: Yeah! That’s perfect. My powers are best when it comes to evading.
And just like a professional acrobat, Joey uses his powers to jump, dive, corkscrew, and dodge out of the danger brought about by the Beast Master. Hannah: Joey, any ideas. Joey: No! And I can’t keep this up for much longer. Hannah: Then you won’t mind if we try my idea do you? Joey: I’m all ears. Hannah: For now just create a room of darkness and try your best to stay ten feet away from B.M.
Using the power of illusion to create a thick fog, Joey only tries to let a little light pass in through the scenery. While trying to work his magic and avoid danger Joey realizes that the Beast Masters actions have started to slow down. Once Beast Master has stopped completely, Joey puts a yard of space in between them and notices the vultures circling the skies. As each one lands in a perfect circle around Beast Master, they caw in a special melody that makes eerily sounding human words. Hannah: Joey! Grab and put on the black cloak lying where my body was earlier. Now(after seeing him in the cloak) get into the ring, but only after I tell you this. As a traveler I’ve learned the stories and histories of the places I’ve visited and lived in. While staying with some natives, at one time, I learned of a story about an ancient creature known as the Monster King. It had the strength of the strongest creature, the speed of the fastest creature, and so-on. It loved to fight to the death, but nothing could match it. One day, after striking a fatal blow to a creature, the Monster King waited for Death to come and take the creature’s slowly depleting life. As Death came, Monster King made a challenge. If Monster King won, then death would grant him the gift to find and fight other deities like Death. If Death won then he could take Monster King’s life. The winner was the one who pinned the other first. Death used a special ring surrounded by vultures that made everyone that stepped into their circle equally matched and skilled. Joey: That’s why he slowed down earlier. So what happens when I pin him? Hannah: Theoretically, B.M. will just go into a catatonic state. And be sure to stay invisible to help give off the image of Death. Joey: Wait(already stepping into the ring), what’ll happen if I get pinned? Kenneth: *He knew.* Raven: You ok(now helping Kenneth to stand, just as he had done for her earlier)? Kenneth: He knew.
The facts are these: while Marcus was down, Raven held him still for Kenneth to use the “Mind Taker”. Marcus escaped by releasing a flash grenade. Not a very harmful weapon , unless its detonated while still being held in one’s hands. Kenneth’s suspicion on how Marcus knew what was coming is fueled by the fact that Marcus did everything he could to get away, even though it put himself in danger. Now Kenneth and Raven face down the bleeding Marcus Battle, the cuts on his face and arms show the danger he put himself in. Battle walks back slowly and reaches for something under his desk. Seconds later, the center of the back wall slides to the side to reveal a weird looking elevators. Marcus: Follow and you’ll die at the hands of the guardian of this building.
As Marcus turns and heads towards the elevator, he drops another detonating flash grenade to stop his enemies long enough to make it inside. Unlike your usual safe elevator, Marcus’ shuts it’s doors tight and plummets downward at a dangerous speed. Raven: Kenneth, Are you ok? Kenneth: Yeah! Lets finish this.
Endinghttp://youtube.com/watch?v=sFG3eRw9UYQ Next time: The conclusion to the fight at Anubis. And one character is given piece to it's shattered soul.
